Checking Out
All items in the circulating collection of the library can be checked out for a period of 2 weeks except for movies which are checked out for one week.
Limits on the amount of material that may be borrowed are determined by the Library Director and designated staff. Temporary restrictions may be necessary if there is a shortage of materials in certain areas or in order to ensure that an entire collection is not checked out at one time.
The current issue of a magazine may not be checked out. Other magazine issues may be checked out for 2 weeks. All circulating items owned by the Four Star Public Library may be renewed in person, by telephone, or by computer via the library's website for an additional 2 weeks, unless there are reserves on the title.
Circulation policies may be waived for an individual in special circumstances with the specific permission of the Library Director or designated staff.
